And in the world of worst rankings, Morgantown beat the competition pretty handily thanks to scoring in the bottom 15% in three major categories. Income is the worst in the Indianapolis area, and to make matters worse, the city ranks worst when it comes to home values.

Ah, Lebanon. You rank as the 7th worst place to live around Indianapolis.

It’s the place with the 24th most out of work residents in the Indianapolis metro area (2.65%).

Martinsville is a city about 28.5 miles from Indianapolis, but Indianapolis probably wishes it was further away. It ranks as the 8th worst burb for 2018.

You’d be hard pressed to find a worse place to live. Martinsville has the 18th most uninsured people, 4th worst incomes, and has the 11th highest unemployment rate (4.72%) in the entire Indianapolis metro area.

Homes only cost $119,100 for a reason. That’s cheap for Indianapolis standards.

If you absolutely have to live near Indianapolis, then Lawrence might be a place for you to consider as it’s only the 9th worst Indianapolis suburb.

Rounding out the ten worst Indianapolis suburbs to call home is Brooklyn.

Located 20.0 miles outside the city, Brooklyns is a real pit when you look at the data. Its residents have the 32nd highest unemployment rate (0.77%), and poverty is far above the area average.
